ICBC (Europe) S.A. Milan Branch mainly carries out financing activities (such as bilateral and syndicated loans), deposits, and also offers services related to letter of guarantee and letter of credit, and trade finance.

Job Brief

We are looking for an Assistant Relationship Manager who will be responsible for supporting the Relationship Managers in maintaining relationships with financial institution clients and other key stakeholders. This role involves preparing credit reports, conducting post-lending monitoring, ensuring first-level controls comply with KYC/AML guidelines, monitoring cash flow, and carrying out financial market business.

Main duties

  1. Support Relationship Manager in day-to-day interaction with financial institution clients and other relationships.
  2. Assist in performing the first level of KYC on clients and work with the Compliance Department Unit to conduct appropriate investigations. To follow up on and resolve compliance-related issues within the FI department.
  3. Assist in gathering financial statements, carry out industry analysis and market research.
  4. Draft credit proposals including risk assessment, financial analysis to coordinate with internal departments for credit approval workflow.
  5. Input, update, and maintain credit facility data in GCMS, to ensure system entries align with approved credit terms and documentation.
  6. Monitor daily cash flow, update the liquidity reports accordingly and carry out daily Financial Markets transactions.
  7. Complete reports and statements for head office and headquarters.
  8. Other assigned works by the Department Head.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor degree or above in Finance, Accounting or related area
  2. Good understanding of financial analysis and banking practice. Working or internship experience in a related area would be preferred.
  3. Proven ability to work independently, with strong team spirit and problem solving skills
  4. Being detail-oriented, competent in working with complex data
  5. Strong working skills of Microsoft applications, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  6. Preferrably Chinese Mothertongues with fluent written and verbal English proficiency, good communication capability in Italian is an advantage.
