ICCF

Established in June 2022, Italy China Council Foundation (ICCF) was born from the integration of the Italy-China Chamber of Commerce (founded in 1970) and the Italy-China Foundation (created in 2003). ICCF is a third sector body that includes both Italian and Chinese companies and individuals.
With more than 400 members and partners, collectively counting a turnover of about 70 billion euro, it is the most important organisation of its kind in Italy and among the main ones in Europe. Thanks to a network of Chinese, Italian, European and international companies and public institutions, ICCF is dedicated to the development of relations between the European continent and Asia, and in particular between Italy and China. ICCF is the only platform in Italy that directly involves Italian and Chinese companies and individuals, thus facilitating collaboration and the development of bilateral projects and initiatives.

Our Origins

Founded in November 2003 by Cesare Romiti, the Italy-China Foundation in over 18 years of activity has acted and supported institutions and enterprises to promote political, economic, commercial, scientific and cultural exchanges between the two countries. The Foundation originated - integrating, strengthening and complementing their aims and activities - from two important institutions that have been active since the beginning of Sino-Italian diplomatic relations: the Italian-Chinese Chamber of Commerce (founded in 1970) and the Italian-Chinese Institute (founded in 1971).

From its twenty founding members, the Foundation has grown over time to count over 200 members and a network of hundreds of companies and institutional entities: Italian companies from various sectors active in the Chinese market, Chinese multinationals that have invested in our country, institutional bodies and various associations.

The importance of the Foundation's role has also been expressed in the coordination work it has carried out on several occasions in projects of national interest in bilateral relations. Through its work, the Foundation has enhanced the Italian presence in China, and the Chinese presence in Italy, by supporting educational, cultural, economic and scientific events and activities to present Italy as a 'Country System'.

From June 2022, Fundation Italy China e Chinese-Italian Chamber of Commerce were integrated to form the new organisation: Italy China Council Foundation (ICCF).

The Italian-Chinese Chamber of Commerce (CCIC) is a Mixed Chamber, composed of Italian and Chinese companies. It was established on 16 October 1970 to coincide with the re-establishment of diplomatic relations between Italy and the People's Republic of China.

The CCIC is recognised by the Ministry of Enterprise and Made in Italy and is a member of the Mixed Chambers of Commerce section. It is registered in the Register of Foreign Italian Chambers of Commerce (number 19).

He is also a founding member of the EU-China Business Association (EUCBA), the association that promotes direct investment and trade between China and the EU.

The ICCC maintains ongoing relations with the ministries, diplomatic representations, political and economic institutions of both countries.

The mission is to provide assistance and support to Italian and Chinese companies for their strategic development in their areas of interest. The experience gained over time by the ICCC is a unique asset, made available to both Italian and Chinese companies and businesses to improve relations and economic exchanges between Italy and China.

Since June 2022, the Italy-China Chamber of Commerce and the Italy-China Foundation have been integrated to form the new organisation: Italy China Council Foundation (ICCF).
