The study tour organised by ICCF and Aice for a delegation of around 20 Italian associations and companies in Beijing, Guangzhou-Nansha and Shenzhen. Many meetings with local authorities and institutions, starting with the first in theItalian Embassy in Beijing with Ambassador Massimo Ambrosettiwho welcomed the delegation in a private meeting. Afterwards, the group met with Mr. Jiang Jiang, Vice President of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC: Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries) with whom an upcoming collaboration for cultural and economic exchange of students and young graduates was discussed and agreed upon.
In Beijing, the delegation also had the honour of being welcomed directly by Deputy Minister Pu Chen, of the State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR).
On 26 November, the delegation also attended the opening of the China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE) in Beijingin the presence of the Vice President of the People's Republic of China, Han Zheng. In the afternoon of the same day, an important forum on the development of the Yangtze River Delta was held, organised by the CCPIT Shanghai. Our Director General, Marco Bettintook part as a speaker, also presenting the entire delegation to an audience of around 250 participants.
The programme then continued in Guangzhou with the visit of the Nansha Free Trade Zoneinnovative and main hub for the development of trade to the Chinese and Asian markets, and the logistics area of Jointek. In Nansha at the office recently opened by ICCF, the companies met the Consul General of Italy in Canton, Valerio De Parolis and the Nansha Foreign Affairs Office.
The next stop was Shenzhen where an important meeting was held with the Shenzhen Foreign Affairs Office during which the foundations were laid for the organisation of specific projects and initiatives to be implemented as early as 2025. Finally, the delegation went to theHQ of Tencentgiant of the tech world. The meeting provided an opportunity for updates on new technologies of the digital age.
