At the end of his official mission to the island of Hainan, which began on 22 July in Sanya, the President of the Italy China Council Foundation-ICCF, Mario Boselli, was received on Friday 25 July in Haikou by the Vice Governor of the Chinese province, Bateer.
The meeting took place in the context of Mario Boselli's pro-bono role as Advisor to the International Economic Development Advisory Group of Hainan. During the conversation with Bateer, the positive outcomes of the numerous meetings and activities held in the previous days with various local institutions and businesses were analysed. Among the realities visited were the China Resource Haitang Project, the Linghui International Education Pilot Zone, the Boao Lecheng Medical Tourism Pilot Zone, and the Hainan International Economic Development Bureau.
"During these days on the island I was able to admire many excellent facilities, something we should strive for here in Italy – ha detto Mario Boselli, ICCF President -. Hainan is now a strategic hub for innovation, import-export and investment: Italian companies are beginning to realise this and are targeting this province to expand into a vast and dynamic market, an ideal bridge to China and the rest of Asia".
Vice-Governor Bateer shared with President Boselli important and detailed updates on the new facilitation measures planned to support entrepreneurs and economic operators interested in investing or settling on the island, as part of the development of the Hainan Free Trade Port.
Both parties reaffirmed their willingness to strengthen the cooperation between the Island's Administration, Italy China Council Foundation and its President, who will continue to offer his contribution as advisor for the area's economic development and as leader of ICCF, the platform that aims to consolidate institutional, economic and cultural relations between Italy and China, enhancing their mutual presence in the international market.
