An intense week of institutional meetings for ICCF in Beijing, with appointments dedicated to strengthening cooperation between Italy and China.

Meeting with MOFCOM: economic collaboration and training

Among the highlights was the confrontation with the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China (MOFCOM)represented by the Director General Yang Zhengwei and the dedicated Europe-China cooperation team. The dialogue confirmed the shared willingness to develop a wide-ranging collaboration, creating favourable conditions for companies from both countries. ICCF also expressed its willingness to support MOFCOM through dedicated tools and training activities addressed to companies.

Meeting with CPAFFC: Friendship and exchanges between Italy and China

Following this, ICCF met with the Secretary General Hao Zhongwei of Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC). An open and constructive discussion on how to strengthen the economic, commercial, cultural and people-to-people exchangeswith the aim of further consolidating the friendship between Italy and China and building increasingly solid and collaborative relations between the two countries.

Dialogue on Healthcare and Pharmaceuticals

In the discussion with the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Medicines and Health Products, in the presence of President Zhou Hui and the Vice-President Wang Maochundiscussed the potential for cooperation in the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors, where Italy and China boast strong complementarities and wide margins for development.

Dialogue on research and innovation

With the China Society of Technology Economics, ICCF explored opportunities for collaboration in the field of applied research and economic analysispaving the way for new joint projects. This series of meetings represents a step forward in the building of increasingly strong ties between companies, institutions and research centres of the two countries.
