Emma Guarnaschelli, Research Analyst ICCF, participated in the Visiting Programme for Young Sinologists 2025 in Guangdong, representing Italy.
From 16 November to 6 December 2025, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the People's Republic of China promoted in Guangdong the Visiting Programme for Young Sinologists 2025 (VPYS 2025)a high-profile initiative aimed at promoting China studies and strengthening international academic cooperation.
Among the 27 young sinologists selected on a global level, was also admitted Emma Guarnaschelli, Research Analyst at the ICCF Study Centre, representing Italy. Participation in the programme is a significant recognition of his research career and contribution to the analysis of China's economic, social and institutional dynamics.
During the Visiting Programme, Emma Guarnaschelli took part in a Comprehensive international conference programmeincluding the Understanding China Conference 2025 in Guangzhou, as well as academic seminars, specialised lectures and field study activities conducted at and with the support of Guangzhou University. At the end of the programme, all participants were officially awarded the title of Alumni of Guangzhou University.
VPYS 2025 confirmed itself as a platform of excellence for academic dialogue and international cooperation in China studies, contributing to the strengthening of relations between researchers, universities and cultural institutions globally.
