On Wednesday 25 June, theICCF Members' Meeting, an annual appointment of great importance for the associative life of the Italy China Council Foundation, the body created in 2022 from the integration of the Italy China Foundation and the Italy-China Chamber of Commerce. During the meeting, the activities and main results achieved over the past year were presented, together with the projects and initiatives planned for the months to come. As every year, the meeting was an important opportunity for discussion between the Members and the management, as well as a moment to take stock and discuss key issues for the development of relations between Italy and China, within which ICCF confirms itself as the main platform for dialogue and collaboration between the two countries.
At the opening of the meeting, the renewed governance of ICCFfollowing the appointment on 8 April of the Board of Directors for the three-year period 2025-2027, an appointment ratified today by the vote of the Shareholders' Meeting. This was followed by the presentation of the new President's Committee, a statutory body with an advisory role and the task of assisting the President in defining the programmes and activities to be presented to the Board of Directors. Also as part of the organisation's leadership, the Statutory Auditor was appointed for the next three years.
Another important moment for the Assembly was the presentation of the past activities and projects of ICCF which, thanks to its network of members and partners, confirms itself as a key player in the development of relations between Italy, Europe and China, with concrete tools, up-to-date analyses and growth opportunities for Italian companies in an increasingly complex and competitive global context. Protagonists of these results are the three pillars underpinning the organisation's work: business support services, the Study Centre and the Academy, whose results achieved over the past year were presented during the meeting.
Finally, a space was reserved for the presentation of the next China Awardswhich will celebrate their 20th edition in 2025. On 3 December, in the traditional setting of the Museum of Science and Technology in Milan, awards will be presented to the Italian and Chinese companies that have most distinguished themselves over the past year for having managed to seize the opportunities offered by the two markets. To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the award ceremony, Italmatch Chemicals, winner of the award in 2007, has been invited as a testimonial to recount its past experience as an award winner and its future plans in the direction of China.
