Mario Boselli,
An entrepreneur in the textile sector, Cavaliere del Lavoro Mario Boselli started his activity in 1959 in his father's old silk company, Carlo Boselli in Garbagnate Monastero (LC). From the 1970s to the beginning of the 2000s, he developed the activities of the family business both in Italy and abroad, leaving it in 2005 to take on new tasks.
From 1999 to 2015 he has been President of the National Chamber for Italian Fashion, in which he continues to hold the position of Honorary President. In the past, he was President of Federtessile, Fiera Internazionale di Milano, Pitti Immagine, the International Silk Association, the Italian-Slovak Chamber of Commerce, Centrobanca and member of the Management Board of UBI Banca.
In April 2020 he was appointed President of the Italy China Foundation. In February 2024 he was elected President of the Italian Chamber of Commerce in China, succeeding Pier Luigi Streparava, who was appointed Honorary President. He was President of the Italian China Institute from 2017 to 2022.
He is currently Chairman of the Board of Directors of Prestitalia, Deputy Chairman of Isybank (Intesa Sanpaolo) and Director on the board of several Italian and international companies. Among the various honours received, those of Cavaliere del Lavoro (1990), Commandeur de l'Ordre National de la Legion d'Honneur (France 2002) and Cavaliere di Gran Croce Ordine al Merito della Repubblica Italiana (2007).
