The Department for Institutional and European Affairs<\/strong> manages the Foundation's relations with Italian, Chinese and European institutions, promoting dialogue between the business community and key public stakeholders on the Italy-China and Europe-China axes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Through activities of representation, institutional networking and dialogue<\/strong>, the Foundation supports its members in their dialogue with ministries, embassies, public bodies, European institutions and representative organisations in Italy, China and Brussels.<\/p>\n

This role is further reinforced by the presence, on the Foundation's Board of Directors, of four Italian ministers, of the Italian Embassy in China, of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Italy and of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT).<\/strong><\/p>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Italy-China Institutional Relations<\/div><\/div>\n

The department monitors the public policies of interest to businesses<\/strong>, promotes dialogue between institutions and the productive sector, and encourages members' participation in meetings, delegations, working groups and high-level initiatives.<\/p>\n

In this way, the Foundation represents the interests of its membership base and contributes to the development of economic and institutional relations between Italy and China, creating opportunities for dialogue on strategic issues for companies operating or intending to operate in the two markets.<\/p>\n

The initiatives developed include the dialogue in Beijing with the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China (MOFCOM)<\/strong>the Memorandum of Understanding with the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC)<\/strong> and participation in the Italy-China Joint Economic Commission<\/strong> with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani.<\/p>\n

These activities consolidate the Foundation's role as qualified interlocutor in institutional dialogue between Italy and China<\/strong>, encouraging members to take part in the main bilateral and multilateral discussion forums.<\/p>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

European Projects and Internationalisation<\/div><\/div>\n

The Foundation's international network makes it possible to combine the bilateral Italy-China dimension with a broader European perspective, offering businesses tools, expertise and relationships useful in their endeavours of internationalisation towards China<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The Foundation is Vice-President of the EU-China Business Association (EUCBA)<\/strong>, which brings together the leading European business organisations committed to developing economic and commercial relations with China. This role makes it possible to contribute to the European debate on the main issues concerning companies active in the Chinese market and to offer members a broader vision of Europe-China dynamics.<\/p>\n

The department also monitors the implementation of European projects dedicated to the internationalisation of businesses<\/strong>, while promoting European Union programmes to support international growth.<\/p>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

As part of European activities, the department coordinates initiatives related to to the EU SME Centre<\/strong>, a project funded by European Commission<\/em> of which the Foundation is implementing partner<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The EU SME Centre supports European small and medium-sized enterprises<\/strong> interested in the Chinese market, consolidating their presence or developing new business opportunities. The project offers services of advice, guidance and training<\/strong> in four main areas: business development, law, rules and compliance, human resources<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Within the project, the department carries out activities of scouting for potential partners<\/strong>develops relationships with businesses and stakeholders, and organises training initiatives dedicated to Italian and European SMEs, including webinars, seminars and face-to-face meetings.<\/p>\n

She also participates in national and international exhibitions and events<\/strong> to present the services of the EU SME Centre and the opportunities available to companies interested in accessing the Chinese market or strengthening their presence in China.<\/p>\n

Part of the activities is dedicated to monitoring and identifying European and national calls for tenders and funding opportunities<\/strong> of interest to the Foundation and its members, with a particular focus on public policy and the needs of businesses.<\/p>\n

Thus the EU SME Centre completes the Foundation's offering dedicated to businesses, combining expertise in the Chinese market, institutional relations, European instruments and support for internationalisation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
