The School celebrates its tenth anniversary: over 11 thousand students from 2009 to today

The School of Continuing Education of the Italy China Foundation turns ten and celebrates with a decidedly positive balance: from 2009 to date there are 11.649 people who attended language courses (Chinese for Italians and Italian for Chineses) and the executive programs of the institute of via Clerici. Students of all ages, who have continued to grow from year to year allowing the School to celebrate its first decade of activity with a +170% enrollment compared to its beginnings. A three-figure growth, which in the case of corporate training is even more exponential: the courses reserved for professionals, businesses and institutions have increased by 701% since the first year of opening, with a total of 3.604 participants in intercultural management classes, essential for learning to interact with Chinese counterparts in the business environment.
The tenth anniversary was celebrated today at Palazzo Clerici with a conference that saw prominent keynote speakers both in Italy-China relations and in the educational sector. Representing the institutions were the Italian Ambassador to China Ettore Sequi, the Chinese General Consul Song Xuefeng, the General Director of Mibact Francesco Palumbo and the Municipal Councilor for Education, Laura Galimberti. The technical interventions were entrusted to the Director of the School of Continuing Education Francesco Boggio Ferraris, to the CEO of Skilla Franco Amicucci, to the General Manager of Federturismo Antonio Barreca, to the CEO of Intesa Sanpaolo Formazione Pietro Miraglia and to the director Paolo Carrino.

"The need to adapt to an increasingly interconnected international context - said the President of the Italy China Foundation, Alberto Bombassei, opening the speeches of the day - now stands not only for those who choose a work and life experience abroad but also for companies, which are managing the growing diversity of their human resources. Diversity that brings with it complexity but also a great added value".

The focus of the event was the new teaching offer, now more and more technological. In fact, to interact with China, it is necessary to be informed and to keep up with the new tools available to everyone. To help all those realities that are already in, or soon find themselves, working closely with Chinese counterparts, the School has for some time been carrying out its in-house didactic programs, which will now also land on the Net. Lessons will be strengthened and the offer will be enriched with a competitive and effective digital training.

In particular, was presented the School's Academy, an online portal for e-learning development in collaboration with Skilla, and were presented similar initiatives in progress for partners such as Federturismo Confindustria and Intesa Sanpaolo Formazione. The initiative also provided an opportunity to present in Italy the important documentary "Da Xi'an in Rome. Two cities, one world ", realized by the sinologist and director Paolo Carrino, visible on CCTV4 starting from 2019.
"Today our ambition is to combine the skills for China with the innovativeness of educational programs and innovation applied to training tools: - explained Francesco Boggio Ferraris, Director of the School of Lifelong Learning - innovation that will characterize with growing intensity projects reserved for companies and institutions for which the knowledge of the Chinese world is now a strategic asset that can not be renounced ".
