3. Objectives:

1. To organize at least one or, if possible, more events each year for continuing medical education (CME) to be held either in China or in Italy with the following distinctive features:

- equal number of chairmen and speakers for Italian and Chinese doctors who will discuss the same or similar scientific subjects. Speakers must be scientific authorities with well documented international activity and belonging to scientific institutions of excellence of both parts.
- equal number of Italian and Chinese attendees (physicians and/or trained nurses).
- Western and Chinese Traditional Medicine will have the same importance and dignity, and particular attention will be paid to the integration of these two forms of patient care.
- during scientific events, facilities to visit hospitals, universities, research laboratories, pharmaceutical and biotechnology factories will be provided in both Countries.

2. To promote and manage at least 2 scholarships each year, lasting each no less than 6 months, one for a Chinese and one for an Italian new graduate, to be spent in an outstanding hospital or scientific institution of execellence respectively in Italy and China. Scholarships will be approved and revised by the Chinese and Italian Health Ministries.
3. According to CMA requests, to promote courses and seminars with Italian qualified teachers, to be held in Chinese Health Institutions.
4. To guarantee, through periodic meetings of the Scientific Board, the high standard of scientific events, and, through periodic meetings with CMA, the characteristic of innovation and the reciprocal interest of the topics treated in each scientific event.
